Utah has a new flag! No more bald eagles! How about a beehive! Wait! Lets learn about the history of why Utah is nicknamed “the beehive state.”
Utah's name came from a tribe called the Ute Indian tribe. Later Brigham Young led pilgrims of mormon into Salt Lake Valley in 1847. The Mormons were very busy settling in/ or “as busy as bees “ settling in which gave Utah its name, “ the beehive state”
Fun fact: Did you know the average annual snowfall in the Salt Lake City mountains is 500 inches!?
The Great Salt Lake

Rarely lakes are saltier than the ocean. Well the Great Salt Lake is on a scale three (3) to five (5) times saltier than the ocean! There's so much salt, people can float like corks because the salt holds them up in the Great Salt Lake! Ha Ha!
Fun fact: Utah's vegetable is a Spanish sweet onion .
